Sesame cookies

For dessert/24 May 2024

Make these cookies on a weekend with your kids, as the process is quite simple and won’t take much of your time.
You can also prepare these cookies in the evening, and in the morning, together with the children, simply form them and send them to the oven.
Everyone will love them!

You will need:

  • butter - 120 g
  • raw sugar - 100 g
  • tahini paste - 120 g (sesame)
  • egg - 1 pc
  • flour - 200 g (c/w spelt)
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • sesame seeds - 50 g (white and black)

First, melt the butter to a liquid consistency and mix it with the sugar. Next, add the tahini to the same bowl and mix well. Then add one egg and mix again.
Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda separately.
Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones and the dough is ready. I advise you to put it in the fridge for at least 15 minutes, or better yet, for a day. Then all the ingredients will get to know each other, and the flavors will only intensify.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, cover a baking sheet with parchment.
Separately, mix white and black sesame seeds in a bowl.
Form the dough into balls and roll them in sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Let the cookies rest and cool slightly.
Enjoy!
